Orland Unified School District
is currently operating a bond from the 2008 election. Although most projects have been completed, there is a remaining amount of $4.8 million dollars that remain unspent. The bond oversight committee has met its maximum allowable number of years for service, and we are in need of forming a new oversight committee.
The positions that are open are the following -
· A member of a business organization
· A member of a taxpayers organization
· A parent of a district student
· A member of a parent organization
· A member of a senior citizen organization
· An At Large Member
· An At Large Member

Measure K School Bond
The new constuction at Mill Street School is coming along on time and under budget. The new cafeteria/multi-use building will not just be a place for students to eat their breakfast and lunch, but will also be equipped with access to wi-fi, a projector for presentations/assemblies, and higher ceilings to accommodate indoor sporting activities. The floor area exceeds that of the old cafeteria by 1250 square feet.
Old cafeteria: 2600 sq. ft. New cafeteria: 3850 sq. ft.
Old kitchen: 600 sq. ft. New kitchen: 690 sq. ft.
Old kindergarten classroom: 2329 sq. ft. New classroom: 1520 sq. ft. - plus restrooms
