The Freshman boys played three quarters of flat basketball but clamped down on defense in the fourth quarter in order to pull out a victory in Willows. Jesus Llamas led the way with great defense and a game high 12 points. Scott Batchelder had 9 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Trojans inside game. Javone Bradford contributed to the win with 11 points for the Trojans.

The Freshman Boys Basketball team continued their success in the Las Plumas Tournament winning all three games and placing 1st in the tournament. Austin Schmeltzer was named to the all-tournament team scoring a game high 21 points versus Oroville. Andrew Hutchens was named tournament M.V.P. scoring 49 points combined and leading the tournament in steals. It was a great team effort, where every game had eight players contributing by scoring.
Orland 57 Anderson 28
The Freshman Boys Basketball opened up there season with a win over the Anderson Cubs. The boys played aggressive defense and did not let up forcing many turnovers that led to fast break points. Jesus Llamas and Kamare Jackson led the scoring attack with 13 and 12 points apiece. Austin Schmeltzer hit a three pointer off the bench and led all rebounders with 5. Oscar Venegas led all scorers off the bench with 8 points. | |
